Muhammad Ali’s grandson Biaggio Ali Walsh has now entered the MMA scene. He was an accomplished high school football player. He even managed to get the male athlete of the year award from the Review-Journal in 2016.

Biaggio Ali Walsh has now shifted his focus from football to MMA. He got obsessed with Conor McGregor when ‘The Notorious’ was peaking with his UFC featherweight win. Biaggio Ali Walsh soon called time on his football career and went to Xtreme Couture to train in grappling and kickboxing.

Talking to the Insider he said I came here, and I just fell in love, “I kind of just dove into it and told myself, ‘I’m gonna do this.'” Biaggio Ali Walsh has proved his competence on the mat but he still believes in striking. “I like to stand up and bang, like, to see what you got.”

Biaggio Ali Walsh’s brother Nico Ali Walsh is a professional boxer. He has trained with Tyson Fury’s current trainer Sugarhill Steward and is promoted by Top Rank, who also promoted 27 of his grandfather’s fights. It seems the fighting gene has survived well in the family.

Fighters all around the world will always want to knock out Ali. Laila Ali had once pulled Nico Ali Walsh aside to tell him that the opponent will be determined to knock him out because he was Muhammad Ali’s Grandson.

Ali Walsh said, “People are going to want to knock out my grandfather’s grandsons,”. “People are going to want to hurt me, and stuff like that, but it makes me want to be more prepared” He then added. 

The Louisville Lip and his legend will live long. For now, though, Conor McGregor has been Biaggio Walsh Ali’s inspiration. If we combine the Irishman’s skill both inside and outside the Octagon with Ali’s blood, we might get a new GOAT.
