Dillon Danis may be returning to MMA! In a recent update shared on Instagram by HappyPunch, it was revealed that Danis and boxer, Ryan Garcia, have agreed to a fight. Danis, announced his retirement from combat sports in November 2023 after it was reported that he had been released from his Bellator contract.

But the retirement appears to be short-lived as he has set his eyes on a clash with Garcia instead! The two men exchanged texts that appeared to indicate their intentions to face each other in a cage instead of boxing’s squared circle!

According to a post on Instagram by HappyPunch, “Ryan Garcia and Dillon Danis have agreed to fight in MMA and Misfits confirm an offer will be made”. The post also contained screenshots of text exchanges between the pair.

Danis stated, ““We should do a exhibition boxing match since we probably couldn’t do pro cause the weight difference or mma” which prompted a response from Garcia that said, ““I’m down for MMA for real””

However, Danis appeared to be concerned that Garcia might not be serious as he replied, “Don’t be just saying words we can make that happen” but the boxing star re-affirmed his intentions by stating, “I’m down hit up Dana”

The exchange between Danis and Garcia has stirred excitement among fans, with many eager to see the two athletes face off in the MMA arena. If the fight materializes, it would mark a significant moment in both fighters’ careers and could potentially reignite Danis’s presence in the MMA scene after his brief retirement.
