The unexpected just happened at the Ryan Garcia vs. Devin Haney fight. An example of speed, skill, and luck helped ‘King Ry’ to clinch a dominant victory against Haney at their match. The fight had everything: Drama, heavy punches, and an unsightly Haney hanging for his dear life. ‘King Ry’ might not have won in the best possible, but he proved that he was one of the best boxers, hence earning respect for the fraternity.

However, it seems like a part͏icu͏͏lar pe͏rson͏ in the UFC is not content with Ki͏ng Ry’s reign and dominance. The b͏antamwei͏ght c͏h͏ampion of the UFC, Se͏an ͏͏O’Malley͏,͏ ͏in his͏ late͏st͏ state͏ment, took a dig͏ ͏at the ͏champion for capitalizi͏n͏g on an illegal rule ͏in b͏oxing͏. Sean O’Malley rips apart Ryan Garcia for illegal technique

Sean ͏O’Ma͏lle͏y and Ryan Garcia have a history. ͏The ͏d͏uo has been the talk of the fight͏ ͏world for qui͏͏te some time because t͏hey con͏tinuously ͏talk about fighting ͏e͏ach ͏other.͏ Thing͏s got to such an extent that O’M͏alley͏ st͏ated he would tal͏k with UFC C͏EO Dana͏ W͏hite to ar͏rang͏e a match with ͏Garcia. Nonetheless, Garcia’s win against Devin Haney seems to be a bit disappointing for the bantamweight champion.

In his latest escapade, O’Malley took to his Instagram handle to add a sarcastic video making fun of Garcia’s fighting technique. ‘Suga’ showcased that Garcia uses his back to block punches which might be a violation of the boxing rules. “Throw the left hook and instantly turn your back,” said O’Malley. Whether the odds are against him or in his favor, it’s sure that Ryan Garcia knows how to turn things his way for victory.

Nonetheless, the fight was a motivation booster for ‘King Ry’ as he needed this win badly after his mental health episodes. Garcia connected on 87 out of 214 punches (40.7%), while Haney landed 106 out of 285 (37.2%). It’s worth mentioning that Garcia landed almost double the amount of power shots compared to Haney, with 95 hits versus Haney’s 45. ‘King Ry’ won the bout by way of majority decision.

Interestingly, “King Ry” appears to be sufficiently motivated to challenge Sean O’Malley for the bantamweight championship, as Garcia repeatedly challenged the champion in his interview with The MMA Hour.

Garcia’s aspiration spread far across the realm of boxing as the young boxer is planning to have a bout against the bantamweight champion. The anticipation of their bout started soon after O’Malley got his victory against Aljamain Sterling to clinch the bantamweight title. Soon enough both the fighters started having a banter, calling each other out on several occasions.

In a conversation with Ariel Helwani, Ryan Garcia broke all the barriers when he stated that he would defeat O’Malley in minutes. “Bring that motherf***er on. I’ll beat his ass in MMA, guaranteed. I’m a natural, you don’t understand. I’m a natural wrestler. I just beat my security that’s a wrestler. I beat him. I’m strong and I got crazy conditioning,” said Garcia.

He further explained, “I want him [in MMA], that’s already been done. I know I’m gonna knock him out in boxing. That’s not even fair”. Interestingly, Ryan Garcia’s close aides, Oscar De La Hoya, and Dana White also have a beef with each other and the fight between their biggest stars would sell like hot pockets.
