Frank Mir made his return to fighting at Triad Combat. The former UFC heavyweight champion took on Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev in the main event.

Mir had his last fight in the UFC in 2019 and made his professional boxing debut in 2021 against Steve Cunningham. He lost the fight via a unanimous decision. Meanwhile, Pulev is a boxing veteran, with a 29-2 record. His only losses came at the hands of Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko.

Many believed with clinch allowed, Mir will be able to give a tough challenge to the boxer. However, the fight proved to be a one-sided affair. After landing some big shots early, Pulev hit Mir with a left hook, which staggered him, and followed that with another strike. The big bombs left him knockout out while on his feet. Referee Dan Miragliotta had to step in to stop the fight.

Mike Perry makes an emphatic statement at Triad Combat

Platinum‘ Mike Perry had his first fight since leaving the UFC earlier this year. He was on the Triad Combat card and met a veteran boxer, Michael Seals. Seals has a 25-3 boxing record and looked like the dominant fighter. He knocked Perry down with a left hook in the fourth round and landed some other clean shots as well.

However, Perry didn’t look out of place, and even though he started recklessly, he got comfortable. The former UFC fighter punished Seals in the clinch. Perry won the fight via a split decision, and after the fight, went on to call out anyone and everyone.
