Mike Tyson is inarguably one of the greatest athletes on the planet who has had a very controversial career. However, he never shies upon discussing his life events in his interviews or media appearances. That being said, the former heavyweight champion once revealed how psychedelics got him prepared for his boxing comeback against Roy Jones Jr. on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

Tyson on his most recent appearance on the JRE podcast told the longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan that he returned to boxing after having a Psychedelic experience with a toad. He also revealed that he was initially going to fight the former MMA fighter, Bob Sapp. However, ended up fighting Roy Jones Jr.

I did this toad, this DMT stuff, and I lost that weight. I don’t know what happened, I just said I’m going to do this…” Tyson said.

“I did this toad, and I said, you’ve got to do this… you have to do it… I lost the weight. It started all with me at first fighting Bob Sapp at first.”

“That was going to be the first fight. The fight with Roy Jones was supposed to be with Bob Sapp…” Tyson added.

“Roy Jones got involved, other fighters got involved, Holyfield got involved, and it turned into a fiasco… Jake Paul got involved and that was the birth of Jake Paul,” Tyson concluded.

Although Mike had a very controversial time during his boxing career, he gradually improved over the years and got his life back on track. In the process, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ made many good friends.
