There have been uncountable amounts of speculations regarding the reason why Mike Tyson agreed to fight YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. He will turn 58 years old by the time the fight comes around, which makes it all the more confusing because people are concerned about the age difference between these two fighters, which is over three decades.

As such, British former mixed martial artist Michael Bisping recently shared a pretty honest analysis of the fight and what’s really at stake for both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. He believes that there is no way that ‘The Problem Child’ will come out of the fight as a legitimate achiever of something special.

Fighting a guy in his late 50s? Not a good look for Jake Paul as per Michael Bisping

If the fact that Mike Tyson will be 58 years old by the time of the fight isn’t enough, fight personalities like Conor McGregor among many others have expressed their distaste towards this boxing match. However, if ‘Iron’ does what he’s gained fame for inside the squared circle and beats Jake Paul, Michael Bisping suggests that the YouTuber-turned-boxer should decide to just move away from boxing for good.

“If Jake Paul loses, listen, it’s Mike Tyson, but still come on. 58 years old, right? Stop it. Never show your face again,” ‘The Count’ stated on his YouTube podcast. On the other hand, if Jake Paul does what people are expecting is going to happen on July 20, it will just be an avenue for him to grab a fat paycheck.

If he somehow manages to knock out Mike Tyson, Michael Bisping believes that the 27-year-old can expect to be ridiculed by the combat sports community. “If Jake Paul knocks out a 58-year-old man, that’s called elderly abuse. You know what I mean? You can’t win here other than a lot of money,” the England native added. Apart from the probable outcome of that fight, ‘The Count’, after doing his own analysis, concluded that the boxing match wasn’t an actual fight.

Bisping claims Paul vs Tyson isn’t a “professional” fight

The fight is officially going down this summer and Michael Bisping weighed in on how the fight will affect both Paul and Tyson. Although people aren’t expecting ‘Iron’ to come out on top, which is evident looking at how people have reacted to the news of this fight, a win over Mike Tyson will certainly be the biggest feather on Jake Paul’s cap.

“It’s an official fight. It’s a professional fight. If Mike Tyson loses, he will have a loss to Jake Paul and Jake will have a win over Mike Tyson, which, regardless of how you slice it, is something to brag about… even though he’s 58 years old,” Michael Bisping further stated.

Even though it will be Mike Tyson’s return, Michael Bisping doesn’t agree that a boxing match of this kind should go down in the official records. The match between the YouTube star and the icon has special rules applied to it. Just like Dana White claims to hate it, it can be termed a “gimmick” fight. From the duration of the rounds to the size of the gloves, there are numerous stipulations in this fight.

“So you can win by knockout. The rounds are going to be two minutes long, the gloves are going to be… 14 ounces… and there’s only going to be eight rounds. [It] doesn’t sound like a professional boxing match,” Bisping added. People are hoping that Mike Tyson will be the one to simply end the brief boxing career of the former Disney star, Jake Paul. It will be interesting to see how the fight goes down, which will be streaming on Netflix. Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
