As the clash between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul draws near, the excitement intensifies, but so do the new developments and endless speculations. The 10-round bout will see Diaz walk into a boxing ring for the first time, which might prove to be beneficial to Paul. Interestingly, Jake Paul recently offered to level the playing field by proposing an MMA fight between him and Diaz after this one!
Moreover, he even offered $10 million to the Stockton Native. However, the former UFC fighter denied it. John McCarthy thinks Nate Diaz will skip Jake Paul for Conor McGregor
In his recent ‘Weighing In’ podcast with Josh Thomson, McCarthy talked about the Stockton native not fighting Paul in MMA. According to him, Diaz had a clear and strategic plan right from the outset. He intended to fulfill his contractual obligations with the UFC, and then aimed for a lucrative showdown against Jake Paul to secure a big-money fight.
“Nate had a plan from the very start about what he wanted to do. He was going to fight out his contract, he was gonna get this big money fight with Jake Paul.” Diaz’s vision didn’t stop there. As per McCarthy, following his boxing fight, Diaz aims to return to the UFC for a trilogy fight with Conor McGregor.
