If someone told you six months ago that Jake Paul and Francis Ngannou would become colleagues, would you have believed them? After yesterday’s groundbreaking announcement, Francis Ngannou is now a PFL star. The 36-year-old has finally found a home after months of uncertainty surrounding his fighting future.

Additionally, he is now fighting under the same promotion as YouTuber boxer Jake Paul. The influencer joined the PFL in January 2023, just days before the UFC announced Ngannou’s exit from the promotion. Almost five months later, the pair are now under the PFL banner, with both of them advocating for better pay for fighters.

Jake Paul compliments Francis Ngannou

In a recent interview with DAZN MMA, Francis Ngannou said that he was backing former UFC colleague Nate Diaz to beat Jake Paul in their upcoming boxing bout. However, the former UFC champion gave due credit to Paul and his boxing exploits and did not count him out.

Jake Paul came across Ngannou’s words and sent him a reply via Twitter. ‘The Problem Child’ wrote, “I just read that Francis Ngannou has Nate Diaz beating me….that’s why I love him. We are part of the same company now but he still keeps it real with his opinion.”

Despite Ngannou seemingly betting against him, the 26-year-old is staying respectful to his new colleague. However, some fans believe Paul was putting on a face and was in fact hurt by Ngannou’s comments.
