Jose Aldo has been replicating his MMA success in the boxing ring as well. The Brazilian MMA legend retired from the sport in September 2022. However, his love for fighting could not keep him away, and Aldo stepped into the boxing ring in the early days of 2023. As of now, Aldo remains undefeated in all 3 fights he has had till now.

His most recent bout took place on July 2nd, against the 28-year-old Esteban Gabriel Espindola. After 6 rounds of dominating performance, the former UFC champion was able to bag a clear unanimous decision. Soon after the victory, Aldo posted an inspiring tweet that caught the attention of his fans.

On July 4th, Aldo posted an image that captured the moment when the referee raised his hand for victory. With the image, Aldo also penned an inspiring quote that reflects his journey in MMA and boxing. Although ‘Scarface’ posted the quote in his native language, fans could still read the most approximate meaning of it through translation.

“The first step to make a dream come true is to believe that it is possible,” Aldo’s tweet said.

A few months ago, Jose Aldo faced an old opponent from his MMA days, Jeremy Stephens. The two had also faced each other in a UFC ring in 2018, with Aldo coming out on top. The MMA fight saw ‘Scareface’ finish Stephens in the first round via TKO.

About 5 years later, both were facing each other in a boxing ring, at Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred Boxing 4. The bout was highly competitive, with both veterans landing impressive shots.
