The match proved to be an exhilarating rollercoaster of action-packed drama owing to Francis Ngannou and his debut performance. Amidst the recent disappointments in UFC pay-per-views, the Ngannou and Fury bout injected a much-needed dose of excitement and magic.

Fury and Ngannou exhibited a masterclass in fighting at their first-ever bout against each other. ‘The Predator’ truly shined as the underdog challenging the top of the division and even dominating his opponent in the match. Both fighters went toe-to-toe in the initial rounds, with Ngannou notably dominating the third round. Nonetheless, the judges appeared to hold a different perspective as Fury emerged victorious and not everyone agreed!

Nate Diaz and Logan Paul share the same views on Francis Ngannou’s defeat

Despite being a new entrant, Francis Ngannou showcased an exceptional performance. Mike Tyson must be proud of his boy. Tyson Fury was a formidable force, yet Ngannou took on the challenge and highlighted that with proper hard work and dedication, one could even take on a lion.

Tyson Fury clinched the victory with a split decision, yet, the combat world seemed to be highly disappointed by the fact that the judges gave an upper hand to Fury over Ngannou in most of the rounds, even in the rounds where Ngannou completely dominated. And the likes of Nate Diaz and Logan Paul have now expressed their disappointment in Fury’s split decision victory.

After the match was concluded, Nate Diaz took to his X (Formerly Twitter) handle to express his utter disappointment. He also stated that the commentary was biased and was in favor of Fury. He said, ” Tyson fury lost and the boxing commentary biased af dumbasses they need to learn how to box ..”

Logan Paul also took to his X handle to express his disappointment. Paul tweeted “Really sucks to see Ngannou get blatantly robbed like that… boxing needs a more objective system in place for scoring. The subjectivity & inherent bias of hand-picked judges is ruining the credibility of the sport “

Francis Ngannou was disheartened by the defeat however he was not demotivated. The former UFC fighter asserted that he will continue to box and will be gracing the squared arena once again after a few times.

In the aftermath of the bout, Ngannou proved to everyone that he was a force to reckon with. Ngannou told ESPN how he had a lot to learn from the fight. While he started out his career with the desire to be a professional boxer, the sport is still new to him. He asserted that he would continue to box on several occasions.

“Right now, I have a deal with PFL. I’m intending to fight MMA again,” Ngannou said. “…I still love it and I might do some MMA fights but I’m still going to do boxing like I never intend to just step over, do one fight and go out, that wasn’t the plan at all. Never. So the plan is still the same.”
