58 may not be the ideal age for most combat sports athletes to make a return, but age hasn’t stopped the ferocious Mike Tyson. The youngest heavyweight champion is not leaving any stone unturned, as a recent revelation about ‘Iron’ came as a surprise to Joe Rogan. Apparently, Tyson is on a carnivorous diet.

For many people, Mike Tyson made a crazy decision to fight a 30-year-old younger opponent Jake Paul. ‘The Problem Child’ has fought many fighters who were past their retirement days, and that’s a concern fans have for ‘Iron’. However, Joe Rogan believes that Tyson may be switching back to his old persona for this upcoming boxing match.

Joe Rogan talks about the raw meat diet of “God of War” Mike Tyson

The longtime UFC commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan recently brought up Mike Tyson and was stunned to learn about the lengths he’s gone to prepare for the boxing match against Jake Paul. ‘Iron’ recent interview on ‘The Damon Elliott Show’ has made the JRE host believe that the Tyson of the old may be surfacing again. He’s going into a different mental zone, the kind that fans witnessed back in the 80s and 90s, especially because of his willingness to adopt a raw meat diet.

“Mike Tyson’s mind has switched over to war. Like he was doing this interview and someone says to him, he goes, ‘You look like you’re in your 20s. What are you doing?’ He [Tyson] goes, ‘I just eat raw meat… He goes, ‘Because that’s what I’m going to eat when I fight,” Joe Rogan stated on the #2148 JRE episode.

Joe Rogan strongly believes, considering Mike Tyson’s resume, that if he trains and gets appropriate supplements while he’s training, Jake Paul may not stand a chance. The soon-to-be 58-year-old boxing legend looks to be in the best shape he’s been in for a while. Although it’s an exhibition fight against a YouTuber, Tyson isn’t taking it easy on himself.

“He’s in that God of War mode and he still got that in him. I’m telling you, if you keep giving that guy hormones and you keep giving that guy supplements, and you and he’s constantly training [he could win],” Joe Rogan added. Besides, it seems like the JRE host may not be the only one who’s noticed a change in Mike Tyson because Jake Paul seems to agree with Rogan’s take on ‘Iron’.
