Furthermore, Jose Aldo’s declaration that boxing might be a possibility during his retirement from the UFC gave the fans some insight into his next ventures. Recently, Antoliy Sulyanov declared that there is a possibility of the ‘Scarface’ fighting in a boxing ring in March 2023. Aldo’s debut in boxing is, in fact, one of the most anticipated events that the fans have looked up to after his retirement from the UFC.

The fighter remained undefeated for over a decade, but finally, he lost to the ‘Notorious’ McGregor. He was even honored with the title of Sherdog’s 2009 Fighter of the Year. However, he had previously decided to enter boxing after getting out of MMA with a record of 31-8-0.

Sulyanov discussed Jose Aldo’s potential boxing debut 

The founder of ‘Hardcore FC’ declared that he would hold a boxing tournament in Dubai. and that Jose Aldo could be one of the biggest names to compete.

Sulyanov said, “I’m not going to tell you the names yet, but José Aldo and most likely even Sergey “Crusher” Kovalev will be on the card. Aldo will fight with 99.9 percent probability, we’re negotiating with Sergey now.”

Thus, fans will get to see the legendary fighter in action yet again.

The former UFC champion’s last UFC fight resulted in a unanimous decision loss against Merab Dvalishvili. However, Aldo making his debut in boxing was not something that was unexpected for his fans and came as a surprise.

Furthermore, whether the ‘Junior Mac’ would fight or not is yet to be negotiated. No contracts have been signed, yet. Nonetheless, the fighter would indeed be loved by the audience whenever he decides to enter the arena.

Earlier this year, Aldo decided to close all doors that led to MMA, and left room for only boxing. He revealed, “I won’t fight MMA, that’s for sure.” However, his interest in boxing might get him more chances of claiming the champion’s belt.
