The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion, Holly Holm, has achieved something great. ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ will be inducted into the international boxing Hall of Fame in the class of 2022. Holm will be inducted alongside Regina Halmich, Miguel Cotto, Roy Jones Jr., and James Toney in next year’s class.

UFC President Dana White took to Twitter to congratulate the boxing and MMA legend on her achievement. Holm is widely regarded as one of the best female combat sports athletes of all time. She played a huge part in popularizing women’s boxing in Europe. The Hall of Fame ceremony will be a three-day-long affair. It will go on from June 9 to June 12, 2022. Holly Holm and James Toney will be the first UFC fighters to be recognized by IBHOF.

Holm is considered one of the greatest female boxers of all time. Before entering the world of MMA, she did some incredible things in boxing. She was a multiple-time champion and defended her title 18 times in three weight classes. ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ had an incredible 33-2-3 record in her professional boxing career.

She made her debut in MMA while she was still boxing in 2011. However, made a permanent switch in 2012. Holm had an incredible start to her MMA career, going 9-0 before getting a bantamweight title shot against Ronda Rousey. She completely decimated Rousey and knocked her out in the second round to end her three-year-long reign as champion.

Holly Holm thanked her support system after the news

After the news of her induction broke, Holm took to Instagram to express her views. In her caption, she thanked her whole support system. That included her coaches, family, friends, fans, and others. ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ also wrote about her love for combat sports.

She wrote, “I’m sure I’ll have more to say going forward as I am a little lost for words. I am truly humbled and so honored to be acknowledged with the greats of boxing. I couldn’t chase my dreams without such a strong support system. From my coaches, family, friends, management, teammates, and fans.”
