UFC President Dana White Reiterates ‘Nobody Is Getting Boxing in Their Contract’

Dana White has done a great job in building the UFC. The biggest MMA spectacle did take its time to become what it is today. President White is proud of the work and thus has been very stringent about keeping the UFC away from other combat sports. In a recent media interaction, Dana White cleared the air on Jon Jones‘s new deal and Francis Ngannou being allowed to box in his UFC Contract. Dana White categorically denied Francis Ngannou, who has now exited the UFC, being allowed to box in his contract.
White also confirmed that Jon Jones was absolutely ready to fight anyone. He also said that Jon Jones had signed a new eight-fight contract with the UFC. Jon Jones‘ manager had earlier made statements that the new deal had made him the second highest-paid fighter after Conor McGregor.

Dana White laughs off murmurs about Boxing offers
A reporter questioned Dana White about Francis Ngannou. The reporter asked, “Francis Ngannou really wanted to box. Was it offered on his contract? ” Responding to the question, a firm White was quick to shoot down the speculation. White said with a chuckle, “no nobody’s getting boxing in their contracts here”.

Francis Ngannou recently moved away from the UFC. He quoted the lack of freedom in the UFC contract as a reason for leaving the promotion. His comeback to the UFC can, however, not be totally ruled out as yet. Ngannou himself has not ruled out the possibility totally. Fans can expect to watch him fight in the UFC again.
