That Joe Rogan loves all things martial arts is common knowledge among fans. The longtime UFC commentator is an ardent fan of various martial arts disciplines. In addition to that, Rogan is also a practitioner of both Jiu-Jitsu and Taekwondo, holding black belts in both. Although the host of The Joe Rogan Experience is primarily associated with the UFC, Rogan often gives his takes on various martial arts competitions, often taking the time to acknowledge high-level competitions from various disciplines. The latest of those acknowledgments followed the recent Artur Beterbiev–Anthony Yarde boxing encounter.

Britain’s Anthony Yarde and Russian-Canadian Artur Beterbiev clashed in a light heavyweight boxing bout at the OVO Arena in Wembley on January 28. Beterbiev forced Yarde’s corner to throw the towel in after eight hard-fought rounds. In doing so, he retained his WBO, WBC, and IBF light heavyweight world titles. His performance was masterful enough to get a nod from the 55-year-old Joe Rogan.

Joe Rogan tips the hat to Artur Beterbiev
Whenever he does not commentate for a UFC PPV, Rogan takes to his social media to give shout-outs to performances. He did the same for Beterbiev after he defended his title. The world’s leading podcast host penned a message to the reigning world champion for his successful title defense.
“Congrats to the great and powerful @arturbeterbiev, the most destructive force in boxing. 19-0 with 19 knockouts. IBF, WBO and WBC world light heavyweight champion,” wrote Rogan. Furthermore, he also mentioned his choice for Beterbiev’s next fight.

The former Fear Factor host ended his message by saying, “I really hope him and @bivol_d can get together in the ring this year.” If Rogan had his way, he would have Beterbiev battle it out with the WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol.
