Ben Askren and Jake Paul got into a heated confrontation as the duo met unexpectedly. The athletes were set for a Triller Press-conference ahead of their proposed fight on April 17th. The press-conference was entertaining itself, but their animosity wasn’t reserved for the scheduled events as their impromptu interaction didn’t disappoint fans.

Askren was resting on a table along with his wife, Amy, as Paul arrived with a crew of his own and knocked ‘Funky’s’ hat off his head. “You’re super creative with your Instagram as people think it’s f**king jokes. Hilarious buddy, you old as f**k. Stand up straight while I’m talking to you bro slouching,” Paul said to ‘Funky’.

Askren was really chill, sitting there as he was enjoying the offerings from ‘The Problem Child’. He didn’t provide any sort of response until Paul went away with his crew. “It’s definitely over the six-person bubble,” said Askren hilariously referring to Paul’s crew.

Askren has a trash-talking ability that very few fighters can match. ‘The Problem Child’ has his own way to rile people up too. However, it seems like ‘Funky’ got the better of Paul as the YouTuber was visibly frustrated with Askren not reacting to his attacks at all.

Neither contestant is a professional boxer. However, Paul has a padded undefeated record inside the squared ring, albeit against non-fighters. Askren is the first fighter of any kind that he will be fighting.

Also, Askren is not someone who thrives on the striking aspect of combat sports, let alone boxing. So, it’s hard to guess what to expect from those two men when they collide. It’s not going to be the most technical bout, and combat fans can expect things to get sloppy. Regardless, it will be an entertaining event for sure and fans will be tuning in to watch.
