The alliance isn’t one that fans had on their radar, however, it’s an exciting pairing from a striking perspective.

Nick Diaz is arguably one of the best boxers in MMA and his prowess on the feet is undeniable. Furthermore, Tyson Fury stood alongside Nick Diaz and sent a direct message to the UFC asking them to ‘book the fight’. Diaz is eyeing a comeback to MMA and there are several exciting match-ups out there to be made.

Chiefly, it was unclear whether Nick Diaz will follow through on his attempt to secure a comeback fight with the UFC. However, it seems as though with ‘The Gypsy King’s recent message, Nick Diaz is on board. Fans are certainly excited to see what Diaz can bring to the table after several years on the sidelines.

Nick Diaz and Tyson Fury: A grappling fest?

In the midst of the video call-outs to the UFC and the shadow boxing, Fury and Diaz also took to the mat. Footage surfaced online of both men tussling on the canvas as Diaz was attempting to explain certain MMA maneuvers to ‘The Gypsy King’. Tyson Fury has expressed a keen interest in competing in MMA once he takes care of some marquee boxing bouts.

The Gypsy King’, who has already trained with the likes of Darren Till, is slowly sharpening his MMA skill set. Fury has already shown that he can hang with power punchers like Deontay Wilder. Hence, he will be excited to compete in the UFC’s heavyweight division. In fact, the WBC champion recently took aim at UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and called him out.

A crossover event with Fury involved at the helm will be massive business especially as his star power grows. But first, the lineal heavyweight champion has to get through Anthony Joshua, which is easier said than done. However, Fury is confident in his skill set. He believes he has what it takes to capture the combat sports world.
