The world of combat sports has become disappointed after Conor McGregor turned his back on the 25-year-old boxer, Ryan Garcia. The Irishman, who once commended Garcia for his spectacular fight against Gervonta Davis, has now stood against him. McGregor unleashed all hell loose on Garcia.

In a deleted tweet, he attacked Garcia, demanding a lifetime ban on the boxer. However, the former UFC double champion did not forget about Sean O’Malley. The current UFC bantamweight champion also got caught in the crossfire. But why did McGregor lash out at the two?

Weeks after claiming victory over Devin Haney, Garcia tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug, called ostarine. In case you are wondering, it was the same drug that ‘Suga’ tested positive for, back in 2018 and 2019, owing to which he got suspended for 6 months, both times. The outcome indeed came as a shocker. The drama began when ESPN’s Mike Coppinger shared the news that Garcia tested positive for the banned substance.

Soon after, ‘KingRy’ took to X and tweeted, “Why in the world would I volunteer for a drug test if I planned on taking drugs? Make it make sense???Furthermore, the LA resident also tried to defend himself, saying he was only taking ‘Ayurvedic’ supplements, and named ‘Ashwangandha’ as one of them. Although there are reports of the plant significantly enhancing maximum oxygen consumption in athletes, McGregor wasn’t ready to listen.

McGregor took to X and sent forth an unfiltered post, ranting about Garcia and O’Malley being ‘cheaters’. He also demanded the two to get banned for a lifetime. But the range doesn’t end there. After calling ‘Suga’ an ‘Ostarine head’ the ‘Mystic Mac’ challenged Garcia and O’Malley to spar at his famous Black Forge Inn. Needless to say, Garcia’s last opponent, Devin Haney, supported the Irish mixed martial artist in his rageful rant.

Boxing prospect fires back at the former UFC double champ

Garcia wasn’t one to take all the hate he received from Conor McGregor and lashed back at the former UFC champion. ‘KingRy’ didn’t back down and reminded ‘The Notorious’ of his broken ankle and the time he avoided being tested by USADA. He also blasted the mixed martial artist for supposedly being on PEDs to film the remake of the blockbuster movie, ‘Roadhouse’.

Furthermore, Garcia called out McGregor for a bare-knuckle fight. It was probably a response to McGregor’s sparring invitation. The boxer proposed to keep the Proper 12 whiskey on the line, saying, “Winner gets your trash a** whiskey brand.”

In a reply to Haney, Garcia said that he heard ‘The Dream’ was somehow connected to Victor Conte, who in turn is connected to VADA. But there was only one way he could ever have been guilty of cheating. That is, if and only if tequila could be considered as a substance containing steroids. “I was on tequila. If tequila got steroids, that’s crazy bro. I’m guilty.”

However, the Senior Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance for the UFC, Jeff Novitzky, has come up with an explanation. He revealed that Ostarine is present in most of the supplements as a contaminant. While it occurs in very trace quantities in the supplements, the drug tests would, without a doubt, turn up positive. This was the sole reason why there are many cases of Ostarine use on the rise.
