John Kavanagh gives his verdict on the Jake Paul loss
Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh took to Twitter to give his honest take on the fight between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury. The superstar coach made his view clear in his latest tweet.
Kavanagh wrote, “Who do you congratulate? The 5-0 pro who narrowly beat a guy who is only boxing a couple years or the YouTuber narrowly losing to an undefeated pro? I guess they made a lot of money so congratulations to both I wonder what the 4 kings would make of this era”.

I wonder what the 4 kings would make of this era 🤷♂️— Coach JK (@John_Kavanagh) February 27, 2023
The comment from Kavanagh does not seem to have pleased the fans. They did not agree with the statements provided by the UFC coach and expressed their views on Twitter.
Fans react to Coach Kavanagh’s opinion
The boxing and MMA fans had their opinions handed to the superstar coach for his views. One fan said, “Strange Days Coach”.
Strange days coach.

Another fan stated that Tommy Fury’s record is not something great. Furthermore, they expressed their views that the boxer has fought lesser-known athletes to maintain an undefeated record. Moreover, Fury also shouldn’t be regarded as an ‘elite boxer’ according to the fan.
You're talking about Tommy Fury as if his record is something to be credited. He's only ever fought absolute cans. You're making out like T.Fury is some elite pro boxer early in his career lol. Perspective necessary!
— Em (@EmMMAfan) February 27, 2023
Similarly, another fan stated the same thing as they said Anderson Silva had a better record and calibre than that of Fury.
5-0 pro who only fought people with 3-30 records. Anderson silva was a higher calibre than any of Tommy previous opponents he did well to beat Jake comfortably

Kavanagh found users with similar thoughts all over.
The 5-0 pro had only 12 ametuer fights and the combined record of his opponents as a pro is 16-215. That's the level Paul is at. Any decent professional fighter kills Paul, including journeymen and club fighters.

The fans gave their honest views about the fight.
Narrowly by the judges but nearly 2 to 1 on the stats…
— J_taylor🤙 (@milkychance132) February 27, 2023
Moreover, one fan stated that Fury controlled the fight better than Paul.
It wasn't a narrow win coach. I agree Jake had a couple moments but tommy controlled that fight
— Reef Gang (@fullchubbbb) February 27, 2023
Another fan pointed out the hypocrisy to the public.
This is corny. Jake was the betting favorite. Now after he lost you want to act like he was so massive underdog.
— StandOut Sean (@StandOutSean) February 27, 2023
Similarly, another user said the same point.
It wasn't close, only close because of a biased AMERICAN judge, it was a unanimous victory for Fury, weather people think it was a good win or not I've seen about 90% of so called experts saying Paul would win and by KO, so by that reckoning it should be classed as a good win yes

However, one fan, in particular, had issues with one of the points from Kavanagh’s tweet.

There were a variety of different opinions from the combat sports fans. However, it remains to be seen if either Paul or Fury responds to coach Kavanagh.
