Jake Paul will fight Tyron Woodley this weekend in his fourth professional fight inside the boxing ring. Paul last fought Woodley’s good friend and training partner, Tyron Woodley. Woodley was in fact in Askren’s corner for the contest. ‘Funky’ was the first fighter of any kind that Paul had fought in his career.

The MMA community pinned their hope on Askren to shut down the Jake Paul hype train. But the former Bellator MMA and ONE Championship welterweight champion disappointed massively as he got stopped in the first round of the fight. A clean connection from Paul sent Askren to the floor and despite him getting up, the referee decided it was enough to stop the contest.

Paul managed to make a name for himself with that win. It opened up the door for him to fight other big names of the MMA world. Askren has never been known for having good striking skills. But fans expected his fighting spirit will be too much for Paul to handle. But they were left disappointed, to say the least.

While it was not revealed how much Paul actually made, one can expect him to take home a hefty percentage of the $75 Million Dollar. Paul got a show money of $690,000. Askren made $500,000 for the same. It was the biggest pay-day of Askren’s career.

However, those numbers are only signing bonuses. Many close to both parties revealed that Paul took home a total sum of $10 Million. Askren, on the other hand, pocketed a whopping $5 Million.
