A viral video of Jon Jones, Mike Tyson, and Claressa Shields at ESPYS Awards is grabbing the attention of fight fans. The 31st annual ceremony of the ESPYS Awards was held on July 12, 2023. The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles witnessed a number of elite athletes receiving awards for their extraordinary performances. It was an exciting event for the UFC community, as some top fighters were nominated. Jon Jones, Islam Makhachev, Leon Edwards, and retired fighter Amanda Nunes received nominations for the best UFC fighters. Ultimately the award went to Jones.

The UFC heavyweight champion enjoyed the event with top athletes, including Mike Tyson and Claressa Shields. A video of them posing together for a snap captured the attention of the netizens. The fans were excited about seeing ‘Iron Mike’ and Jon Jones. However, they did not show the same love for Claressa Shields.

ESPN MMA took to their Instagram handle to post a video of Jon Jones, Mike Tyson, and Claressa Shields posing for the camera. All three of them looked extremely happy to be a part of the award ceremony. Jones had earlier received the Award for the Best UFC Fighter after his spectacular victory at UFC 285.

Meanwhile, Claressa Shields won the award for Best Boxer. When the award winners for Best Fighter and Best Boxer came together, boxing legend Mike Tyson also joined. After posing together for a picture, Tyson left. Later, Jones and Shields shared some cordial time together. When fans came across the video, they were quick to react and some went on to brutally troll Shields.

Another fan hated what the boxer was wearing and wrote, “That dress is horrible shields. terible.”

One of the Instagram users observed a size difference and said, “She is swole. Damn near bigger than Tyson.”

A fan commented he has no idea who the GWOAT was – “No idea who the girl was, never heard of her.”

From the reactions of the fans, it was evident that they were not so excited to see Claressa Shields with Jon Jones and Mike Tyson. Despite her many accolades, some fans find her, a boxer with multiple world championships in three weight classes, unfitting to be near the likes of Tyson and Jones.
