In July, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) contender Mike Perry ruffled feathers after losing a boxing match to Jake Paul. Following his loss, Perry angered BKFC  part-owner Conor McGregor, who took to social media to express his displeasure. McGregor announced Perry’s release from the promotion with a twee: “Hey Mike you’re released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing.”

However, it seems the tables have turned. We’re not claiming this, but according to a recent post by renowned journalist Damon Martin from MMA Fighting on X, Mike Perry is still part of the BKFC promotion. Martin reported, “BKFC president David Feldman says the promotion is planning a massive card for the end of the year with Mike Perry being involved in a “mega-fight”. He says the announcement should come next week.”

This news from BKFC president David Feldman raises many questions, as it directly contradicts his earlier statement. On the “Grind City Media” podcast, when asked about McGregor’s ownership deal with BKFC, Feldman disclosed, “I’ll tell you, he has a significant amount of equity, and that can probably give you an idea of how the deal shook out.” When the host continued to brag, Feldman added that McGregor holds significant power in the promotion, comparing it to “needle-moving” equity.

However, this doesn’t much for anyone, as Mike Perry’s participation in the upcoming BKFC event remains unchanged. Perry had previously clapped back at McGregor’s claim of his release, but we didn’t believe Mike Perry and were fooled by the stardom of Conor McGregor.

When Mike Perry fires back at Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor is renowned for his short temper and controversial persona, as seen in his past run-ins with opponents like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier. His knack for stirring up new feuds and drama is well-documented. Recently, McGregor applied this behavior to Sean O’Malley and Mike Perry. Despite a previous good relationship with Perry, McGregor’s attitude shifted after he became a part-owner of BKFC. He started treating Perry like he was in charge.

However, McGregor’s all-in-charge attitude was recently challenged by Mike Perry. In a recent show of aggression, McGregor announced Perry’s release from BKFC. Perry didn’t hold back and took to Twitter to respond, stating, “We’re both owners of BKFC, so he can’t fire me.” Perry further added, “I lost to Jake Paul; why don’t you go fight Jake Paul? I think it’ll be worse than Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather.”
