Leon Edwards is coming off an impressive victory against Colby Covington. As a welterweight champion, he has defended his belt against Kamaru Usman and Convington. The lingering mandatory for him is now none other than Belal Muhammad. Intriguingly, the two have fought against one another in the past but it resulted in a no-contest after Edwards poked him in the eye.

However, destiny has it for them to meet again. The question that arises is how, when, and where. In a recent turn of events, Dana White president of the UFC teased his plan for the same but the fans are not so pleased with it.

In a recent interview, White told the media that he would be disclosing the venue and card for the welterweight title fight. He states, “I will probably announce that next week. Where it is going to be.”

His comments drew scathing reactions from the fans. One fan wants it to be in Saudi Arabia. So he would probably not be able to watch it due to the time difference on the other side of the planet. He stated, “Do it in Saudi so I can be asleep when it happens.” Of course, this comment could also be construed as sarcastic because a lot of the fanbase doesn’t think Edwards and Muhammed are big money draws.

On similar lines, one fan does not think it interests either him or anyone else. He stated, “That’s gotta be the least bought ppv of all time Lowest title fight tier ever”. Another fan does not think of it as a main card fight. He stated, “On the prelims please”. Meanwhile, this guy hopes that this fight does not take place at a landmark event like UFC 300. He stated, “Not in ufc 300 THANKS”

Last but not least, one fan appears to be frustrated by this news and has a request. He stated, “I’m getting sick of his s*it. OIL HIM UP FELLAS”. Despite it being a fight between two formidable opponents, the fans do not consider it worthy of their attention. However, this doesn’t seem to have fazed Muhammed and he has started training— at a peculiar place.

Belal Muhammed’s Dagestan camp for Rocky fight

Edwards is not a walk in the park for anybody in the division. Muhammed is aware of the same and is cutting no corners to be in his best shape possible. Subsequently, he has resorted to training in the highlands of Dagestan. According to him, it would elevate him as a combatant.
In an interview, he stated, “I’m planning, for sure, to go to Dagestan, go down there and trade with those guys. It’s to get a new look, to get different feels. And those guys that don’t let you take any days off, or any easy rounds, so that’s always perfect for me. The last time I trained with those guys, we got a dominant finish. And I plan to do the same thing and just not to jinx anything or whatever.”
