Who, according to you, is the best MMA fighter? This was the same question that Noah Lack asked Biaggio Ali Walsh in a recent interview for EssentiallySports Fancast. Walsh is the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali’s grandson, holding a record of 6-1 in his career and working hard to get a professional contract. 

However, on the latest episode of our Exclusive ES Fancast, Walsh candidly chatted with Lack and discussed various things about his career. During the interview, Biaggio shocked everyone when he chose his favorite MMA fighter. Let us delve into the video to determine who the 25-year-old chooses as his favorite.

The world of MMA is no stranger to the mighty Jon Jones. 36-year-old Jones is the light heavyweight champion of the world who is currently out of action because of an injury. During the later stages of the interview, Noah Lack asked Walsh to choose his best MMA fighter, and, much to the surprise of many, Biaggio picked Jon Jones and GSP as his favorites.

Walsh, during the interview on ES Fancast exclusive said: “GOAT in MMA, I mean Jon Jones. I am gonna give two answers I would say Jon Jones and GSP. Those two are the GOATs for me in MMA. Jon Jones and GSP are my two goats and i remember I met Jon Jones when I fought in Atlanta, like I don’t get awestruck, but I was like ‘dude, I have seen you kick people a…ses as a kid.’ He still is. We had a bit of friendly sparring. It was awesome.”

His interview with Noah Lack helped the audience understand him better. At just 25-years-old Walsh is looking to become a professional in MMA. However, with boxing running in his veins, it will be interesting to know whether he would switch to boxing later in his career.

What’s next for the 25-year- old amateur fighter?

Walsh recently featured in a fight against Joe Lopez and continued his dominant run in the PFL after beating him in the second round via knockout. The grandson of Muhammad Ali dominated the fight and used several combinations and punches during his fight. Although Lopez tried his best to keep going, Walsh’s tenacity and power proved too much to handle for him.

Walsh currently boasts a record of 6-1 in amateur mixed martial arts. The 25-year-old is still undefeated in the Professional Fighters League (PFL) and will look to get a professional contract soon.
