Rogan’s million-dollar podcast is the biggest audio platform in the world, with an average of 11 million listeners per episode.

Platforms like YouTube and TikTok have enabled a lot of people to showcase their creativity and talents and have become a great source of income and fame. Moreover, Joe Rogan feels amazed about how people can get famous nowadays. He said, “There are just so many different ways that people break through and become famous.” Rogan added, “There is no gatekeeper anymore for any of this sh*t.” Next, he discusses TikTok and YouTube stars like MrBeast.

The 55-year-old podcast host claims that the way people become famous now via the internet is a new thing. He talks about the famous YouTuber, MrBeast. Rogan said, “So the new thing is a guy like a ‘MrBeast’ out there that has, arguably, the biggest show in the world.” He added, “This guy comes up with his own game show, donates all his money, and gets people’s eyes fixed, like genuinely a really nice guy. He just does whatever he wants to do.” Rogan also mentions how new this concept of getting famous is. “That’s a new thing. It never existed before,” said the 55-year-old.

Joe Rogan explains why someone like MrBeast is famous. He said, “Part of the charm of MrBeast was like watching the fact that he’s just being himself.” Rogan added, “He’s hanging out with his friends while doing this and he’s not being really directed. There are no executives leaning into his ear and telling him what to do. He’s literally doing whatever he wants to do and they’re all having fun.”

Rogan implies that content creators do things at their own pace, without the direction of any executives. It is a novelty in today’s world. The 55-year-old also claims that it is the same with musicians, comedians, and almost every other entertainment profession. Rogan believes that whenever someone produces good content, it gets lauded and people take notice of it.
