The 55-year-old podcast host claims that the way people become famous now via the internet is a new thing. He talks about the famous YouTuber, MrBeast. Rogan said, “So the new thing is a guy like a ‘MrBeast’ out there that has, arguably, the biggest show in the world.” He added, “This guy comes up with his own game show, donates all his money, and gets people’s eyes fixed, like genuinely a really nice guy. He just does whatever he wants to do.” Rogan also mentions how new this concept of getting famous is. “That’s a new thing. It never existed before,” said the 55-year-old.

Joe Rogan explains why someone like MrBeast is famous. He said, “Part of the charm of MrBeast was like watching the fact that he’s just being himself.” Rogan added, “He’s hanging out with his friends while doing this and he’s not being really directed. There are no executives leaning into his ear and telling him what to do. He’s literally doing whatever he wants to do and they’re all having fun.”

Rogan implies that content creators do things at their own pace, without the direction of any executives. It is a novelty in today’s world. Rogan believes that whenever someone produces good content, it gets lauded and people take notice of it.
