Paulo Costa talks about wanting to fight Kamaru Usman

Kamaru Usman hasn’t fought in the UFC octagon ever since his UFC 294 loss against the undefeated prospect, Khamzat Chimaev. Despite the recent inactivity, Costa looks to fight the former welterweight champion.

During a recent interview with Submission Radio, the Brazilian fighter commented on Usman’s last performance against Chimaev. He believed that despite the short-notice fight, the welterweight held his own in his middleweight debut, showing amazing grappling and striking against someone like Chimaev. Costa claimed that a fight between him and Usman would be the one to make.

A possible rescheduling of ‘The Eraser’ vs. ‘Borz’?

The two were scheduled to fight at UFC 294, however, Costa was sidelined due to an infection in his elbow. However, after his recent loss, the middleweight juggernaut seems to be okay with fighting Chimaev.
