To put up performances as Usman does, one needs a strong mindset, along with inspiration. Recently, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ took inspiration from Tiger Woods.

On his Instagram story, Kamaru Usman shared a motivational reel that contained a speech by Tiger Woods, which he gave at the World Golf Hall of Fame 2022. In the video, Woods said, “Nothing’s ever gonna be given to you. Everything’s gonna be earned. If you don’t go out there and put in the work, you don’t go out and put in the effort. One, you’re not gonna get the results, but two, more importantly, you don’t deserve it. You didn’t earn it. ”

What’s next for Kamaru Usman?
Winning a title is hard, but defending it is even harder. Kamaru Usman will make the sixth defense of his 170-pound UFC crown against British fighter Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards at UFC 278.
This is the second fight between the duo. They have fought each other previously in a fight won by Usman via decision. Since then, Edwards has been on a 9-fight win streak and will be looking to gain revenge. On the other hand, Usman remains undefeated in the promotion.
While Usman will look to use his jab in the striking exchanges and then take Edwards down, ‘Rocky’ would look forward to keeping the fight standing. This fight between the two will excite fans around the world.
The future for Usman if he beats Edwards at UFC 278
If Kamaru Usman manages to beat Leon Edwards, it will mark his sixth title defense. From there, it would be interesting to see what Usman does.

While contenders such as Khamzat Chimaev are on the rise, Usman once also described his interest in moving up to fight at 205 pounds. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ declared no interest in fighting his Nigerian brother, Israel Adesanya.
Usman said, “I was going to skip Israel and go fight Jan at 205… Because I am pound for pound, I want to prove it. No matter what the weight it is, I thought he was a really good match-up for me. ”
