Ever since Dana White took subtle digs at Jones by asking him to choose an easier option in 185lbs and hinted towards Ngannou taking on Derrick Lewis, Jones has taken it as an insult to his legacy and has been firing shots at the promotion over Twitter.

When asked about how much money it’s worth taking a risk against Ngannou, Mike explained that this fight could be comparable to some of Floyd Mayweather fights in money matters.

He explains that he doesn’t see any reason this can’t be a “$50 million fight“. This will certainly help UFC pay off their debts, including good paychecks to Ngannou and Jones. Mike further says, “The UFC needs a superstar like Jon Jones, I think Conor was the guy for a while, he’s fallen off “.

He believes these are the guys who will ultimately bring money to the UFC. The promotion depends heavily on their star performers, and Jones is certainly one of them.

Jones is certainly one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. His record prior to announcing his move to heavyweight stood at 20-1, which is nothing short of extraordinary.
White and Jon are certainly the best at what they do. But this back-and-forth saga is something that every UFC fan would want to see an end to, as soon as possible.
Surely either party would want to find a solution to the roadblock soon. Nobody wants a fight of such gigantic proportions between Ngannou and Jones meeting such a tame end.
