Jake Shields replied to Brunson’s tweet, giving him a brief idea of the ongoing controversy. However, he didn’t back down from mockery, either.
Jake Shields’ reply to Derek Brunson
Derek Brunson was unable to hide his curiosity regarding the Kyrie Irving and Ye controversy. The middleweight UFC fighter recently tweeted, “Can someone tell me exactly what Kanye & Kyrie did or said? I can’t find anything legit anywhere . Has everything been removed ?!”
I don’t think they said much but you better not either or Disney will get your UFC contract dropped. I think Kyrie just tweeted a link to a move of black people claiming they were Jews and I guess they don’t like that🤷🏻♂️

Jake Shields took the responsibility of replying to Brunson, but in a seemingly mocking tone. He replied, “I don’t think they said much but you better not either or Disney will get your UFC contract dropped. I think Kyrie just tweeted a link to a move of black people claiming they were Jews and I guess they don’t like that.”
Post by Kyrie Irving raised questions
The Brooklyn Nets guard, Kyrie Irving, has taken over the internet lately. He recently promoted a controversial movie on social media. The movie is reportedly said to contain material that was not okay with many people. Doubtlessly, Irving received backlash from the public.

In his defense, he said, “We’re in 2022. It’s on Amazon, a public platform. Whether you wanna go watch it or not is up to you. There’s things being posted every day. I am no different than the next human being, so don’t treat me any different.” His claim was that history should not be hidden from anybody.
Although the Brooklyn Nets guard claimed that he respects all religions and didn’t mean to disrespect anyone, he faced wrath on the internet and on the court. In the recent Nets vs. Pacers match, a group of people were seen wearing ‘Fight anti-semitism’ t-shirts.
