UFC fighters are really built differently. Not only are they better than most at landing shots, but they are also great at taking shots and then landing one of their own. A classic example of a fighter showing heart after taking a colossal blow is former UFC Scott Smith knocking out Pete Sell after taking a devastating rib shot.

The internet is a funny place and it spares no one. It just so happened, that the video of an ex-UFC fighter was dubbed over and it made it extremely hilarious.

In the video uploaded by highlandsportsofficial on Instagram, Scott Smith, an ex-UFC fighter took a nasty liver shot, delivered by Pete Sell. He was seen backing away in agony before he went for a Hail Mary and knocked Sell out with an extremely powerful hook. The dubbed version, although befitting, was more humorous than it was spectacular and the fans jumped at the opportunity to make some harmless fun. The video became viral to the point where NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal shared the post on his Instagram story.

Comments like, “1000 IQ play right there 😂“, “Top 10 greatest finishes in UFC” and “It’s called playing possum” were among a few to be seen. People seemed to believe it was a well thought-out strategy and commented things like, “Sun Tzu the art of war- feign weakness so your enemy may become arrogant” and “The art of war. Deception.”.

However, some people seemed to be impressed with the tenacity and the never-say-die attitude displayed but the former UFC fighter Scott Smith. Comments like “i think he acc was hurt but didnt wanna get rocked so he threw a punch instead of blocking“, “Saw the fight live he knocked him out after having his rib broken“, and “Scott “Hands of Steel” Smith 👊👊 No possum BS he was legit hurt…it’s called finishing the job” gave the others a different perspective.”

The unbelievably impressive feat by Smith was applauded by another fan. He commented saying, “I’m 100 percent sure that reaction was real. Shows heart that he was still able to defend himself through that pain and win. F*****g nuts.”.

Scott Smith won that fight by TKO after he landed that hook perfectly on former UFC fighter Pete Sell. The fight took place back in November 2006.
