Similarly, a former UFC middleweight shared his thoughts on a recent statement made by Brittney Griner.

On February 17th, Brittney Griner was detained in a Moscow airport for carrying illegal substances. Since then, the WNBA star has been on trial for drug-related charges in Russia. Recently, Griner said in court that her rights were not read to her when she was being detained at the airport.

While many people reacted differently to this, a former UFC middleweight fighter seemed to have advice for Griner. In his tweet, Kennedy wrote, “Mother of God…. You have exactly ZERO rights in any communist or socialist country.”

Tim Kennedy reacts to recent news regarding Brittney Griner

Since being detained in Russia, several people in the US have been calling out the government to get back Brittney Griner. Acting upon the same, the Joe Biden-led administration has now offered to exchange Russian arms trafficker Viktor Bout for Brittney Griner and another American. Bout has been serving a 25-year prison sentence in the US.

The news of this potential exchange has not been met well by several people. Former UFC middleweight Tim Kennedy is one of them. On his Twitter, the fighter shared a post about the same.

Kennedy shared a post in which he seemed to express his displeasure about exchanging a ‘Russian War Criminal’ in return for Griner. The fighter captioned the post and wrote, “Crazy times.
