Pop star Britney Spears recently claimed that NBA star Victor Wembanyama‘s security guard struck her in the face after she tried to approach the San Antonio Spurs star. However, after witnessing a video released by TMZ, the UFC middleweight fighter Derek Brunson claimed that the pop star lied in a post on social media.

Victor Wembanyama emerged as this year’s top pick in the NBA draft. Since LeBron James 20 years ago, no player has entered the NBA with as much acclaim as he will. When Britney Spears went to see him, she went to approach him to congratulate him on his successful draft pick. Unfortunately, his bodyguard stopped her and, apparently, got hit in the face. Derek Brunson weighed in on the situation.

Derek Brunson claims Britney Spears lied

When Derek Brunson came across the footage of the incident, he claimed that Britney Spears supposedly lied about the whole situation. He said, “Wow Britney Spears lied.” Furthermore, He claims that it isn’t right to run up to people and approach them. Such acts can be assumed to be something dangerous. Brunson added, “You can’t run up and grab people.”

Additionally, the UFC middleweight stated that the bodyguard wasn’t wrong in trying to stop Spears from coming into physical contact with Victor Wembanyama. He claims it could have been someone with a weapon trying to hurt the NBA star. Brunson said, “It could’ve been a crazy person with a knife lol.”
