Joe Rogan hangs out with some of the biggest names in the sports industry. Whether it’s NBA stars or veterans from WWE. In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan sat down with his comedian friends Tony Hinchcliffe and Brian Redban, and in conversation, Hinchcliffe recalled training with none other than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Rogan also spoke about meeting NBS legend Shaquille O’Neal. Everyone is familiar with the sheer size of the star. Rogan just put things in perspective for everyone with his signature laugh. Here’s everything he and Hinchliffe said about the two in this edition of the podcast.

Joe Rogan is one of the most listened-to commentators of not only the MMA world but perhaps of the sports industry as a whole. Rogan has friends everywhere. He has comics, fighters, and even billionaires like Elon Musk in his contacts. So, when he compared Shaquille O’Neal’s hand size, it was perhaps the most accurate thing that’s ever been said about the star.

“Shaq’s the f*cking man,” Rogan said as the three discussed the icon. “You ever wanna feel tiny? Shake that dude’s hand. It’s like shaking a person. Like a whole person instead of a hand.” Rogan laughed out loud as he noted how insane it was shaking O’Neal’s hand. Hinchcliffe then remarked that ‘The Rock’ is also a massive person.

Interestingly enough, both he and Rogan had the chance to train with the WWE and Hollywood star. “I called Tony Hinchcliffe at like 10:00 in the morning,” said Rogan, and continued “I’m like, what are you doing? You want to work out with ‘The Rock’?”

“I was so hungover, it was hilarious.” Responded Hinchcliffe who was clearly caught off guard with the spontaneity of the invitation. Either way, the whole situation around Hinchcliffe, Rogan, and ‘The Rock’ was just a hilarious exchange. Nevertheless, Rogan has had his issues with Johnson in the past.

Rogan on Johnson’s authenticity

Joe Rogan has been an advocate of authenticity for the longest time when it comes to bodybuilding and PED use. Many believe that Johnson uses PEDs to keep his physique as good as it is at the age of 51. Rogan asked ‘Rock’ to “come clean” in an episode of More Plates More Dates, a podcast hosted by frequent JRE guest Derek Plates.

Clearly, Rogan has his points that he’d like to discuss with Johnson. However, there’s still some professional goodwill between the two. Johnson was a guest on the podcast earlier last year and had interesting conversations with Rogan. Was his PED use openly discussed? That remains a controversial conversation it would seem and one Rogan avoided. An interesting turn of events indeed.
