“2 Fights Left on My Contract” – Conor McGregor Reveals What His Target at UFC Is

Conor McGregor is undoubtedly the most famous MMA fighter. In fact, many fans and young fighters started following the sport because of McGregor. Thus, it would not be wrong to say that he has immense star power. In fact, his star power has not faded even after a long absence from the ring because of his injury.

He was last seen at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier. The Irish fighter lost the bout and suffered a broken tibia. He had to undergo surgery and get plenty of rest to recover. However, he has already started training, and fans can’t help but notice that he looks huge.

Speaking about McGregor’s influence over the MMA world, Sanabul Sports tweeted, “Out of the Top 10 purchased Pay-Per-View events in UFC history,,, @TheNotoriousMMA has headlined 8 of them. That is a crazy stat, but honestly not that surprising. No matter how you feel towards him, you cannot deny his star-power!”

‘The Notorious’ quoted this tweet and wrote, “2 fights left on my contract, I will round out the entire top ten. Can’t wait to get back sparring for my comeback!”

Conor McGregor is working hard for a spectacular comeback. His fans surely miss his presence at the UFC events and watching the superstar fight will be a pleasure. McGregor is expected to fight next year.

While he may have only two fights left on his contract, the UFC and McGregor will definitely reach an agreement for yet another contract. The fighter has achieved superstardom and the promotion would not want to let him go.

What’s next for Conor McGregor?

McGregor seems to have great plans for his comeback. Hence, he might have a big name on his mind. His rivalry with Poirier is not finished and therefore, another fight between both of them could happen in the future.

Poirier will face Charles Oliveira on December 11 and if he wins the bout, he will become the new lightweight champion. If ‘The Diamond’ wins, McGregor would want to fight him. But Justin Gaethje is the number 1 contender. So Conor McGregor might have to wait for a little longer to face Poirier.
