Derrick Lewis is one of the scariest heavyweights in the history of UFC. The all-time UFC knockout leader has entertained fans around the world with his work inside the octagon. Moreover, his sense of humor makes him a fan favorite. Lewis has said one of the funniest one-liners in the UFC.

‘The Black Beast’ has an easy-going personality. Thus, he lives a life in the present moment. The examples of his persona are visible in all of his interviews. Watching at Lewis, one may have a hard time believing he is going to fight another man inside the octagon.

During the backstage interview for UFC 271, Lewis facetiously tells about his journey in MMA.

He said, “I just got out just focusing, made a couple of friends, they introduced me to MMA and I end up falling in love with it at the beginning. Here I am now. Now, I hate it. So.”

The entire crew started laughing as they enjoyed the fun comment.

Derrick Lewis might turn into a wrestler at UFC 271

During the latest UFC 271 Embedded: Vlog Series, in the third episode, Lewis talked about enjoying this time around in Houston. He liked the matchup with Tai Tuivasa and said that it would be a great fight this Saturday. Lewis also suggested how the fight will look.

On his prediction of the fight, Lewis said, “we say that oh, we gonna stand up band the whole fight. But we fighters so ain’t no telling once you step inside the octagon.”

“I could say oh I’m gonna do this and do that as soon as you step in there, yeah, I might turn into a wrestler, you never know so, soon when the doors closed, it’s completely different feeling. you can be feeling good and everything like ready to go, soon the door is closed, so you just really got prepared for everything.”

The Black Beast‘ generally avoids wrestling in a fight. Moreover, the only time he wrestles is when someone is trying to take him down. Also, Tuivasa is not known for his wrestling pedigree. The fight is most likely a stand-up fight, but the sport always finds a way to amaze us.
