Conor McGregor‘s recent posts on social media saw him gain a considerable amount of muscle. His return has always been a hot gossip since getting ruled out of action due to a knee injury. Conor McGregor has been teasing a UFC return in a move to the middleweight division. The Irishman has already competed in the featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight divisions.

McGregor posted several tweets talking about competing in a new weight division. In one tweet, he posted, “I’m gonna give middleweight a got at some point 100%. I’m a big fridge at middleweight. But hot like oven same time, ye know yourself, catch it on PPV. Don’t know tho. It’ll be hard work. Those rounds against those middle/light heavyweights, they were alternating fresh each round. I’ve put in psycho work doing this job over the years.”

McGregor later deleted the tweets.

The former two-division champion demanded that the fans should give him the proper respect for all of his UFC achievements. It would surely help him to compete in a new division. He’d be the third fighter to compete in four weight classes after Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez.

UFC fighters take a dig at Conor McGregor

Some UFC fighters have taken a jibe at McGregor‘s tease at a middleweight debut. UFC middleweight Kelvin Gastelum made a post that implied Conor would be a perfect “punching bag” for middleweight fighters instead of being a “fridge“.

This tweet was in response to McGregor calling Gastelum a ‘small’ middleweight in an interview a few months earlier. Another UFC fighter, Renato Moicano chuckled at Mystic Mac’smiddleweight debut. He called McGregor ‘delusional’ after his deleted tweets during UFC Vegas 66. “Middleweight…imagine been that delusional #mma,” tweeted Moicano. The Brazilian fighter had recently expressed his desire to fight Conor McGregor.

Conor McGregor recently snubbed the USADA drug testing pool. This was done in an attempt to gain the best opportunity of healing his recovering leg.
