However, UFC middleweight fighter Robert Whittaker has a funny reason for disliking the famous WWE superstar and Hollywood actor, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Whittaker has an incredible MMA record of 24 wins and 5 losses. He is easily one of the most skilled fighters in the middleweight division and has fought some extremely intriguing and tough fights. But it seems that the Australian fighter has a grudge with ‘The Rock’.

Why does UFC fighter Robert Whittaker dislike Dwayne Johnson?

In a short question-and-answer video, the fighter clarified his thoughts about Johnson. He said, “I have never hated him. It’s just a bit of a personal vendetta because my wife thinks he’s hot. So yeah, I hate you Rock.”

Whittaker had spoken about ‘The Rock’ earlier, too, in a podcast. He had revealed that before he met his wife, he was actually a fan of Johnson. But when his wife told him that the WWE star was handsome, it seems to have gotten to him. A hilarious reason for disliking Dwayne Johnson.

While Whittaker might be slightly jealous of ‘The Rock’, his fans definitely have several reasons to look up to him. He is not just a great fighter, but also knows how to deal with loss effectively and does not let it affect him too much. When he lost his hard-earned title to Israel Adesanya at UFC 243, his positivity and humble attitude after the fight won over a large majority of the fanbase. 

It may be surprising to know that ‘The Reaper’ is also a gamer and knows a great deal about cosplay as well. Quite an interesting and unusual combination for a UFC fighter. Hence, his fans can’t get enough of his dynamic personality and charm.
