Ever since his unfortunate injury during International Fight Week, fans were anxious about updates on Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill’s recovery. Back in January, ‘Sweet Dreams’ dominated former Light heavyweight champ Glover Teixeira at their UFC 283 clash. With a close decision win over the Brazilian, Hill’s impressive 6-1 UFC streak and his newly-won title cemented his status as a worthy champ.
However, Hill’s serious injury while playing basketball forced him to relinquish his hard-earned title. But all hope’s not lost! The fighter recently shared updates on his surgery, and that too – by a renowned orthopedic. What’s more – this is the same doctor who has helped numerous NBA and MMA A-listers like Kobe Bryant and Conor McGregor and Francis Ngannou.

Ex-UFC Champ picks celebrity surgeon who helped treat Kobe Bryant’s Achilles injury
In a video uploaded by ‘Sweet Dreams’ on his YouTube channel, he shared the story behind the injury and the measures he’s taking to recover. While talking about how he ruptured his Achilles tendon, he also shed light on his love for basketball.
“I’ve been playing basketball for my entire life,” Hill passionately retorted. “It’s a workout that I enjoy. It’s a thing that I use for cardio and to cut weight and things like that. I’ve been doing it for forever.”
Moreover, fans will be delighted to hear that Hill has chosen a well-known surgeon. Who is that? His name is Dr. Neal ElAttrache – the team doctor for the LA Dodgers and Rams. The trauma surgeon boasts an impressive resume, having helped NBA legend Kobe Bryant, Kelsey Plum, and NFL star Cam Akers.
