Many people believed Nunes would be a very tough opponent for Pena to defeat. However, Pena had planned to shock the world as she dominated the champion. She took the fight to the ground and submitted Nunes in the second round. Speaking with BT Sport, The Venezuelan Vixen talked about the rematch and when she wants to fight again.

She said, ” Yeah, I would love to stay active, summertime is good for me. I think that is a great turnaround. That’s kind of where I am aiming at, you know? A dream come true for me would be to coach the ultimate fighter, and then go right into the rematch. So that’s a perfect world scenario. I know we don’t live in a perfect world, but that’s what I would like. As long as I get the rematch at whatever time, that’s what is gonna make me the happiest.”

How will the UFC respond to Julianna Pena?

The promotion aired the 29th season of The Ultimate Fighter in 2021, pitting, featherweight kingpin Alexander Volkanovski against Brian Ortega. The promotion aired the show in June and that might be a great time for TUF to return in 2022 as well.
