The events for UFC San Antonio were full of excitement. However, the UFC world put the cheers on maximum volume as the retired mixed martial artist, Donald Cerrone, got inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Although the legendary warrior never got a chance to wear the championship belt, his skills were indeed on par with the best. Undeniably, he got the highest award a fighter can receive from the UFC.

After the HOF announcement, the UFC president, Dana White, congratulated the ‘Cowboy’ at the gallery. The special moment was caught on camera and the world of mixed martial arts shared their opinion in the comments section. It is safe to say that most fans believe that his inclusion in the Hall of Fame is more than warranted.

‘Cowboy’ received the greatest honor at UFC San Antonio by getting inducted into the Hall of Fame. After the announcements, White decided to congratulate the MMA legend in person. The two shared a moment at the arena. Doubtlessly, Cerrone was filled with a mixture of pride and gratitude for the honor. He kept thanking White during their meeting.

As the video clip of the moment found its way to YouTube, the UFC fans took over the comments section and revealed their thoughts. Undoubtedly, the fans believed that there was no one else more deserving of the honor than Cerrone. They believed that he was in the same class as Anderson Silva and Jose Aldo. The fans had nothing but love for the former UFC contender.

Cerrone’s retirement at UFC 276

Cerrone declared his retirement and threw down the gloves after tasting defeat at the hands of Jim Miller at UFC 276. Undeniably, the fighter was raised high by the fans and professionals in the fighting community.

During his retirement speech, ‘Cowboy’ declared that he would try his skills at acting. He revealed his desire to be a Hollywood star. “Thank you, Las Vegas. I don’t love it anymore, Joe… I’m going to be a movie star, baby,” said Cerrone
