Marvin Vettori is set to headline the main event of the UFC Fight Night this Saturday. Initially, it was Darren Till who was set to take on Jack Hermansson in this main event, but an injury ruled him out.

He confessed, “It’s kinda bulls***. I think this guy thinks he’s too much, he just thinks he can do whatever he wants. To me he’s still didn’t improve much, his last fight was good but mainly… I feel like Costa beat his own self going into that fight. The fight before, to my eyes, was one of the worst ever and I think he basically lost against Yoel Romero. So he didn’t really prove much, but the media is all over him.”

Israel Adesanya vs Marvin Vettori, a rematch on the cards?

Marvin Vettori is the #13 ranked UFC middleweight. He touched gloves with Adesanya two years back when both fighters were rising contenders. Adesanya won that fight via a split decision and captured the gold a year later. After that loss to ‘Stylebender’, Vettori registered three wins and has gotten a golden ticket to a top-5 spot in the rankings.

As per UFC Supremo Dana White, Whittaker was undeniably next in line to fight Adesanya, but the no.1 contender refused to go after the champion. In turn, the UFC came up with an alternative and allowed the middleweight champion to fight Jan Blachowicz for his belt.

Vettori is the only man to beat Adesanya on a scorecard. He knows that the only way he can secure a rematch is by winning big. He will look to prove his worth by annihilating Jack Hermansson.
