Michael Bisping speaks about how his wife supported him in his career

Michael Bisping said in Sean O’Malley’s podcast, “Yeah Yeah, it’s kind of imperative to be honest.” Furthermore, the former UFC middleweight champion added, “Not saying that you need to have a partner. You know you don’t. But if you do have one you need to have one that’s not toxic because you see some guys come in the gym when they come in and when their home life is a mess then they’re a mess and the fights are a mess.”

Speaking on the subject, Bisping further added that he is lucky to have a partner like Rebecca Bisping in his life. Moreover, the UFC commentator said, “You know what I’m saying. I was very lucky she’s [Rebecca Bisping] very mellow. She’s the opposite of me. I’m a goddamn psycho, but she’s very calm, cool, collected. She has supported my career, you know. So I would go home to a very nice environment.”

Moreover, Bisping said that the fighter may not recover properly and be stressed if the environment is not right at his home. This would also not lead to a good fight for the fighter as well, according to the former champion. He then added, “Whether or not it’s a relationship because not everybody is in a relationship that doesn’t matter, but if you are a fighter and you’re trying to take it seriously. Outside of the fight world, your life needs to be in order.”
