After a Grave Loss at 18, Victoria Lee’s Family Gym “Permanently” Shuts Down

ONE Championship fighter Victoria Lee’s sudden death has left fight fans undoubtedly in shock. As the fight community continues to recover from the news of the Strawweight fighter’s demise, the Lee family announced that they are permanently closing their gym in Hawaii. As per news reports, United MMA Hawaii sent out an email to members on Sunday canceling all memberships.

The 18-year-old Victoria passed away on December 26 after a brief career in MMA, where she went 3-0. Many fighters mourned her untimely death including UFC president Dana White who shared a story on his Instagram page.

United MMA Hawaii closed permanently after Victoria Lee passed away

As per reports and a post made from the Instagram page of media outlet Haymakers, the Lee family has reportedly closed their family gym in Hawaii. The description of the gym’s page also read ‘Permanently closed’ soon after. At this point, it is unclear if they will reopen anytime soon.

The gym was run by the Lee family after Angela Lee and her husband Bruno Pucci opened it 2021.

The news was first made reported by podcast host Todd Atkins in a tweet. As per Todd Atkins, the gym sent out a notice informing members that “all memberships will be canceled and students will no longer be billed”.

As a sibling to Angela Lee and Christian Lee, both ONE FC fighters, Victoria Lee was a promising youngster and was expected to follow in her sibling’s footsteps to win a championship. She was well on her way before her untimely and sad demise.

Victoria made her ONE Championship debut on February 26, 2021, beating Sunisa Srisan in Singapore. She fought twice again the same year, winning both her bouts.
