Following his win at UFC 287, Israel Adesanya was part of yet another important milestone as news broke that a documentary he has been working on is finally set to be released on June 11th. An earlier tweet by MMA journalist Ariel Helwani confirmed that the documentary would premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on the said date.

Confirming the same, the middleweight champ also shared what looked like a poster for the film on his official Instagram. Following his post, fans of ‘The Last Stylebender’ and even former UFC flyweight champ, Demetrious Johnson all come out in support of the champ as they expressed their admiration for the 33-year-old.

Continuing with his active social media run that he’s been on following the win against Alex PereiraAdesanya shared an update on the documentary that is expected to show his meteoric rise in the promotion. While his fans have no doubt seen and experienced his illustrious combat career, the documentary will give them a peek into other aspects of the champ’s life as well.

For Adesanya, the release of the film couldn’t have come at a much better time considering his crucial win at UFC 287. Displaying that sentiment, he even claimed that it was “all in divine timing.”

Reacting to this massive update, fighters, and fans expressed their support for Adesanya in the comment section of the post.

The film will document multiple aspects of Adesanya’s life

As per Ariel Helwani’s tweet, the documentary has been in the works since 2018, which also interestingly coincides with Adesanya’s UFC debut. As per more comments from the reputed journalist, the film will also show Adesanya’s life outside of fighting while covering important topics such as mental health and bullying.

For the middleweight champ, it surely has been an eventful few weeks. Starting off with a win against his long-time nemesis and now the documentary that is finally about to come to life, Adesanya has had a great start to the year and will be definitely hoping to continue this momentum going into his next fights.
