A force to be reckoned with, Middleweight fighter Israel Adesanya is a decorated fighter of the middleweight division. With an impressive UFC record of 24-2-0, he has an impressive 94% win record in professional kickboxing. Recently, Adesanya opened up on a fellow MMA artist who has been looking really good.

Carlos ‘The Black Jag’ Ulberg is a light heavyweight fighter hailing from New Zealand and has been making a mark in the promotion. A recent triumph over Ihor Potieria has put him in the limelight. When asked about him, Adesanya had a mouthful to say about him – all in praise of the contender from New Zealand.

Adesanya is an excellent personality outside the ring and has a lot to say when it comes to his competitors, comrades, and the sport in general. Upon being asked about Ulberg, Adesanya said he was really excited for him and was all praises about the up-and-coming fighter.

Honestly I’m just like, I was so excited because as soon as you can just see; I asked Andre during the Week, how’s he looking, how’s he feeling, he says sharp, and he’s just been focused,” said the 33-year-old.

He added, “… just when it’s time to hunt, he’s right there. Its just lets go! Bop! So yeah, I just I love the fact that he came out to The Rock, The Rock’s Theme, uh I was hyped, I was hyped and then um, yeah just went in there pretty much showed the dude you can come in; what! BOOM! Clip him in there.”

Talking about his showdown with Ihor Potieria, Adesanya said, “It wasn’t even that hard, it was just like it’s hard, obviously.”

Singing praises of his fellow gym-mate, Adesanya praised the fighter’s immense kick power.

Ulberg was at the top of his game when he faced off against Potieria. He dominated the first round and won by TKO at the 2:09 mark of the first round itself. Adesanya trained with Ulberg and established beyond doubt that ‘The Black Jag’ was definitely the hardest kicker in the gym.
