Dana White might reveal some of the fights of UFC 300

UFC 300 is just months away and the preparations are underway. Let us first look at the fights confirmed by Dana White that will take place at the event. The former light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka is set to face off against Aleksandr Rakic. Adding to the excitement, former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling is making his featherweight debut, stepping into the ring against Calvin Kattar. Meanwhile, keep an eye on the middleweight clash between rising star Bo Nickal and Cody Brundage.

Even Conor McGregor has announced that he will be returning around April and he has kept the door open for an appearance in the UFC 300 event. McGregor’s fight with Michael Chandler would be phenomenal in UFC 300 but the decision lies in White’s hand.

“I get home Sunday, Tuesday is matchmaking and I’ll have some announcements. I might even try to announce some UFC 300 stuff in the next couple of days here,” said Dana White. It is now clear that the White is building excitement. Nonetheless, what are the potential bout that may happen at the event?

Potential matchups at UFC 300

We know that most of the fighters have agreed to fight in the card but only a few fighters will get the opportunity to be a part of that event. Several sources, including former UFC bantamweight and flyweight champion Henry Cejudo, have confirmed that the rematch between welterweight champion Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad is in the works. Their bout may be excellent but it lacks the persona to be the main event of this UFC 300.

Alex Pereira might be up against the former champion Jamahal Hill, although Hill’s recovery from a ruptured Achilles tendon, expected to last until the second quarter of 2024, could pose a challenge. A UFC 300 comeback for Hill is on the table, but it could be a bit rushed for him, especially when facing someone of Pereira’s caliber. However, a fight between Tom Aspinall and Pereira can happen as both the fighters have made cryptic comments about it but it is still a speculation.
