Israel Adesanya had lost thrice to Pereira before UFC 287. Despite coming close numerous times, Adesanya simply could not get the job done before last night. After Pereira knocked out Adesanya in a kickboxing bout in Brazil, the Brazilian’s son mocked the champion by mimicking him falling onto the mat and laying out cold. It seems like Adesanya had not forgotten the insult from Pereira Junior.

Soon after he knocked out Pereira, Adesanya pointed at his son in the audience and mimicked the same gesture he did all those years ago.

‘The Last Stylebender’ said, “I’m petty, bro. I remember the first time he [Alex Pereira] knocked me out in Brazil, and his son came into the ring and then started to lie dead next to me, and I’m like, ‘you f**ing little a**hole. I’ll whoop your a** if your dad don’t do it for you’. But then, yeah, I looked for his kid, and I pointed at him, and I saw him, and I was like, ‘Hey, hey, hey, ‘motions falling down*’, just to remind him.”

What are your thoughts on Gordon Ryan sharing the post? Do you agree with Izzy’s choice to target Pereira’s son? How do you think Pereira will respond to all this?
