In the first two rounds, Dos Santos was nearly knocked out as he was toppled to the mat quickly. Nevertheless, he found ways to not let Fakhretdinov get a good ground and pound going. And it built enough pressure to stay in the game. Eventually, both of them fought it to a draw and fans had things to say.

“Draw was fair imo, 10-9 Rinat rounds 1,2 and 10-8 Dos Santos because of the near finish in the third.”

While plenty of fans agreed that the draw this time was completely fair and just, it’s not always the case. There have been many instances of scorecards upsetting people on a mass level. Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko is a case in point. Dana White has been repeatedly urged to make the judging process as transparent as possible.

When Judge Mike Bell scored Grasso vs. Valentina a 10-8 in Grasso’s favor, everybody lost it. And one of the people to fume over the issue was none other than UFC CEO, Dana White. A 10-8 round is usually one where one fighter is fully dominant and spectacular. That was not how the fight went.

“When I found out that one of the judges scored 10-8, I’m like, this guy should be f****** investigated for this,” White recalled. It was a bold statement by the boss and just shows how dedicated White is to the sport and his profession. However, Grasso still walked away the winner retaining her title.
