Fight enthusiasts worldwide are eagerly anticipating the upcoming UFC 289, as excitement runs high. The spotlight is firmly focused on the main event, where the reigning female bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, will go head-to-head with Irene Aldana, igniting the flames of anticipation. This clash of titans promises to be a battle for the ages. Adding to the thrill, the co-main event between Charles Oliveira and Beneil Dariush is expected to deliver an equal dose of excitement and exhilaration.
However, UFC president Dana White has voiced his doubts about Nunes’ current skill set, casting a shadow of uncertainty over her reign. White openly questions whether Nunes still possesses the same dominating force that propelled her to capture the title. Questions on Amanda Nunes and her will
In his latest YouTube video, Chael Sonnen took on the doubts raised by Dana White regarding Amanda Nunes. Sonnen cited the UFC president’s questions, stating, “He made one simple claim that, ‘How hungry do you think Amanda is? How hungry can she be?’ How hungry is it possible for her to be?”

Continuing his analysis, Sonnen reflected White’s perspective regarding Irene Aldana. The 46-year-old said, “And then he talked about Aldana and said, ‘She’s starving for it. This is what she wants. She’s been begging for [it]’… And I personally like to hear stories when a challenger is begging, is reminding, is texting and is doing whatever it is they got to do.”
Amanda Nunes enters the Octagon fresh off a spectacular victory over Julianna Pena at UFC 277, further solidifying her dominance. Meanwhile, her challenger, Irene Aldana, is on a two-fight winning streak and hungry for a hat trick and the coveted championship belt.
