VanZant not only won the fans’ hearts through her beauty but also displayed impressive skills inside the Octagon. Without a doubt, the former UFC fighter rose to fame on social media. Even after VanZant retired from the MMA world, she has been active on social media. Collaborations with various artists made her YouTube presence expand. However, her recent YouTube videos did not seem to garner many pleasantries from fans. The netizens left no stone unturned to let her know that she had gained some weight.

Surprisingly, VanZant took it all on a positive note. She took to Instagram and thanked the “haters”. She confirmed her weight gain but also revealed that it was aided by boosted strength and happiness.

Paige VanZant shuts down the fat shaming

Recently, ‘12 Gauge’ was severely fat-shamed on her YouTube channel. Undeniably, it caught her attention and deeply saddened her. However, the fighter took a stand for herself on social media.

’12 Gauge’ shared a video on Instagram and showed off her muscular gains. Moreover, the former UFC fighter wrote a long message for the ‘haters’. She declared that she always made sure the world saw her as one of the pretty ladies. But now, she realized that she never showed the reality.

She wrote, “Where I fell short is that I never showed the true me. Until now. The truth is, yes, I have gained a lot of weight…. probably 20+ pounds but I also gained strength, power, muscle and a f**k ton of happiness.”

Additionally, she mentioned that happy people weren’t haters, and the haters were not happy at all. She revealed that although the comments were a bit negative, they only helped her platform grow. “And I promise from this day forward to show the real me, forever.” The former UFC contender thanked the ‘haters’ for making her take the step.

Nevertheless, the comments didn’t stop VanZant from advertising her YouTube channel. She wrote, “Anyway, check out my YouTube channel. Because I’ll be damned if I don’t continue to profit off of THE BEST HATERS IN THE WORLD.” Finally, VanZant declared that social media was indeed a lie.
